It's all a bunch of different ways of describing/justifying a publicly traded Ponzi scheme. Early investors can do fantastically, so long as the money keeps coming in. But because no value is being created, the early investors mathematically must gain (in BTC) exactly as much as the later investors lose. As a group, they would all do just as well to buy BTC.
If that's true, why does MSTR exist at all? It exists to uneven the distribution of returns within that group. And why does that attract investment? Because, as J.P. Morgan put it, "Nothing so undermines your financial judgement as the sight of your neighbor getting rich."
